The Vampire Diaries Synopsis For Season 5, Episode 19: "Man on Fire"

We don’t even have time to worry about Delena’s relationship. You know why? Because some craziness is going down on The Vampire Diaries — especially in Season 5, Episode 19 (“Man on Fire”). It’s a good thing Stefan (Paul Wesley) is around to help Elena (Nina Dobrev) get her mind off Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and focus on the fact that Mystic Falls is falling apart at the seams.
In case you haven’t heard, the Other Side is in some serious hot water thanks to whatever it is the Travelers have up their sleeves, and Bonnie (Kat Graham) is left to figure out what that means for her, being the Anchor and all.
That being said, we will be treated to a pretty excellent flashback to the 1960s, which is probably where we’ll get to see this version of Damon. But, more importantly, the flashback will provide some answers as to what happened between Enzo (Michael Malarkey) and his long-lost love, Maggie (Heather Hemmens). Spoiler alert: Things won’t go well on this front.
And it also sounds like Liv (Penelope Mitchell) and Luke (Chris Brochu) will be activating their Wonder Twin powers and causing some big trouble for the group. We’re thinking this will have something to do with Markos (Raffi Barsoumian) attempting a ritual that frees the Travelers from some ancient curse…but we could be wrong. And leave it to Tyler (Michael Trevino) to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. We’re worried for him, to be honest.
Check out the full synopsis for the April 24 episode:
“Stefan tries to distract Elena from obsessing about the state of her relationship with Damon, while Bonnie does her best to be realistic about how the changes happening on the Other Side will affect her existence as the Anchor. Damon demands the Traveler knife, forcing Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) and Matt (Zach Roerig) to admit it has gone missing. Through flashbacks to election night, 1960, Enzo (guest star Michael Malarkey) reveals to Elena, Stefan and Bonnie that he has learned what happened to his long-lost love, Maggie, and then, with the unwilling help of Liv and Luke, things take an ugly turn. Trying to calm Enzo down, Damon intervenes, but his words cause Enzo to make a desperate and dangerous decision that leads to a violent confrontation with Stefan. Finally, Markos enlists Sloan’s (guest star Caitlin McHugh) help in a ritual designed to break an ancient curse against the Travelers. Tyler is forced to play a dangerous part in the ritual, while witnessing the incredible power the Travelers now possess.”
What do you think about this episode’s synopsis? Will Tyler die? Will Nadia come back?
